Montgomery Astilbe
The Astilbe `Montgomery', Astilbe japonica, has wonderful deep red to scarlet-red flowers with dark red-bronze foliage changing to green in the spring. The flowers contrast wonderfully with the glossy foliage. Astilbe `Montgomery' blooms in mid summer and is 20" tall and a plant width of 24". Astilbe can be used as cut flowers, perennial borders or shade gardens with Hosta's and Ferns. Astilbe is considered to be deer resistant and will attract hummingbirds. (Astilbe japonica)

Cathrine Woodbury Daylily
The Hemerocallis `Catherine Woodbury', also known as a Daylily, has very fragrant lightly ruffled, orchid-lavender petals with a wide green throat and a flower size of 4.5". With dark green foliage, this daylily will reach a height of 30" and a plant spread of 24-36". Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). `Catherine Woodbury' is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Mardi Gras Helen's Flower
The Helenium Mardi Gras, 'Helenium', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, also known as Sneezeweed or Helen's Flower, is a very showy multicolored perennial. The flower colors are somewhat "tie-dyed", orange-red-yellow, with a flower size of 1-2" and green foliage. `Mardi Gras' blooms from late June into early August. It has a plant height of 2' and a spread of 25". Try planting Helenium in the back of the border or in mass plantings with shrubs and grasses. Snow Hill Salvia
The Salvia `Snow Hill', Salvia nemorosa `Schneehugel', has glowing purple stems loaded with masses of clear white flowers that bloom from June to October. With its dark green basal leaves and aromatic foliage, it makes an attractive accent all summer long. It has a plant height of 15" and a spread of 18-24" and stays in excellent compact form. It is hardy for container gardening and provides excellent cut flowers. Blooms look wonderful next to Sedum `Matrona', Veronica `Royal Candles' and Saliva `May Night'. (Salvia numerosa 'Schneehugel')

Little Joe Dwarf Joe Pye Weed
The Little Joe-Pye Weed, 'Eupatorium purpureum', is a wonderful lavender purple bloomer that stands 4' tall with a plant spread the 29-35". `Little Joe-Pye Weed' is more compact and shorter than other perennials in its family. With beautiful wine red stems that develop large green leaves, it is a definite attractor to butterflies and bees and it is deer resistant. `Little Joe Pye Weed' looks wonderful with Rudbeckia `Black Eyed Susan', Aster `Woods Purple', with ornamental grasses or in a perennial border. Shell Pink Balloon Flower
The Platycodon `Shell Pink Balloon Flower',Platycodon grandiflorum, is a low growing perennial with light pink balloon like flowers that bloom in late May until August. (The flowers should be deadheaded to increase bloom time.) The blooms puff up before opening and have a wonderful green foliage. Use `Shell Pink' as a cut flower, as a border in a perennial garden, or with Cerastium `Snow in Summer'. Platycodon is pest resistant and needs very little care. It is late to come up in the spring, so make sure to mark its location. (Platycodon grandiflorum)
