Atropurpurea Phlox
The Phlox Atropurpurea, 'Phlox subulata', is an ideal ground cover with masses of tiny wine-red flowers and a thick mat of semi-evergreen foliage. Blooming from April to May, it has a plant height of 4-6" and a spread of 12-18". It is a definite addition to any perennial garden. `Atropurpurea needs to be planted in a full sun area in well-drained soil. The Phlox Flower Power, 'Phlox maculata', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is a new and exciting addition to the "tall Phlox" varieties. The attractive creamy white and pink wands make it even more beautiful. `Flower Power' is shorter, sturdier and more mildew-resistant than most in its family. Blooming from July to August, it has a plant height of 42" and a spread of 36-48". `Flower Power' needs to be planted in a full sun area in well-drained soil.
